Srinagar\27\\: While strongly condemning the house arrest of Chairman Hurriyat Syed Ali Geelani, Tehreek-e-Hurriyat general secretary Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai, Hurriyat spokesman Ayaz Akbar, district president Srinagar and Gandarbal Raja Mehraj-ud-din and detention of Hurriyat leader Hakeem Abdul Rasheed in the Lal Bazar police station, All Parties Hurriyat Conference said that restricting movements of the pro-freedom leaders is just the frustration of the Indian rulers which is totally unjustified. Hurriyat said that the Mufti led coalition government has failed on every front and they have adopted the suppressive measures to silence the peaceful voice of the Kashmiri people. The state of Jammu & Kashmir has turned into a battle ground where government forces are using excessive and brutal forces against the common public who are peacefully protesting for their just demands. The behavior of the government forces in our highest learning institution, University of Kashmir since yesterday where students were welcomed with bullets and battons and the use of excessive force against the protesters at Jamia Masjid Srinagar has badly exposed the so-called civilian government of Jammu & Kashmir. On the directions of the communal and fascist forces of India, the state government has launched a major offensive against the youths of the nation and a new process of framing and fabricating false charges against the students has started. Hurriyat Conference said that the fanatic communal rulers of India actually want to frighten the people of this disputed region so that no one will raise his voice against the illegal and forced occupation of this country and they can continue their forced military control over this land. Hurriyat said that history stands witness to the fact that no power in the world has occupied any nation forever against the wishes of its people and the same way, India will have to leave the Jammu & Kashmir one day. Hurriyat Conference reaffirmed that until a single Indian solider will vacate the soil of Jammu & Kashmir, the people of Kashmir will continue their struggle in any way and at any cost.
