All Parties Hurriyat Conference chairman Syed Ali Geelani  on Friday decried the curbs placed by the authorities to thwart Naqashband Sahib  march, saying that respect ,honor and affection with martyrs and particularly those slain in July 13, 1931, serve an eye-opener for those at the helm of affairs and for Delhi groomed henchmen in state.

Earlier, Geelani who continues to be under house arrest, tried to march towards Naqashband Sahib to pay tributes to 13th July martyrs as announced earlier by joint resistance camp, however, forces deployed outside his residence prevented him from marching ahead.

We are duty-bound to carry their mission to its logical end, said Geelani and strongly condemned authorities for laying curbs and imposing restrictions against peacefulmarch, headed.

Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Yasin Malik had called for march to Naqashband Sahib to pay their homage to martyrs today.

They have turned the state into a military garrison, said Geelani and criticized authorities for their undemocratic and autocratic approach, saying their tall claims and parroting about being a great democracy of the world, proved hoax and their rhetoric for greater republic stands deflated, added Geelani.

They believe in military and muscular might , Geelani said and reiterated that we are pursuing a movement to achieve our right to self-determination to decide the political destiny of state as guaranteed and laid in UN charter, added he.

While pursuing our rightful movement ,we have sacrificed our lives, properties worth billions destroyed and damaged, thousands languishing in detention and torture centers, youth killed in custody and buried in unmarked graves  , innocents tortured and women assaulted ,added Geelani. Reiterating his pledge to pursue the cherished movement of martyrs, Geelani said that despite all odds and atrocities inflicted, the nation will never budge even an inch nor will succumb to force or pressure tactics of occupant rulers.

 Huriyat Conference spokesman in his statement strongly criticized and lashed at authorities for putting Syed Ali Geelani, Dr Mirwaiz Mohammad Umar Farooq, Mohd Yasin Malik, Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai, Haji Gh Nabi Sumji, Mohd Ashraf Laya, Shah Wali Mohd, Gulzar Ahmad Ganai under house arrest . Meanwhile spokesman quoting families, said that police denied their meeting with Mohd Yasin Malik and UmarAdil, saying it illustrates the frustration of police authorities.

Statement said that secretary public relations, Molvi Bashir Irfani addressed public gathering in Jamia Masjid Hyderpora and paid his rich tributes to 13thJuly martyrs.

meanwhile Syed Ali Geelani and Mohd Ashraf Sehrai expressed their deep grief over the demise of Gh Mohd Sofi father of senior pro-freedom leader Mukhtar Ahmad Sofi. He was a pious person and eminent businessman, social and political activists. While sympathizing with grieved family they said that late Sofi was an active and energetic Islamist and prayed for his eternal peace. Meanwhile on the directions of Syed Ali Geelani, a deputation led by district president Srinagar, THK, Ishfaq Ahmad Khan and comprising of Mohammad Shafi, Mushtaq Ahmad and Farooq Ahmad visited the bereaved family in Islamabad and pray for Allah to rest the departed soul.
