Srinagar 12, September : Srinagar: The Chairman of Hurriyat Conference Syed Ali Geelani on Thursday condemned the arrest of Tehsil President of Tehrek e Hurriyat Abdullah Nasir and his brother Mohd Ismail at Palhallan area of Pattan in North Kashmir's Baramulla district and termed it as a conspiracy aimed at targeting the allies of Hurriyat Conference.

 
“I want to maintain that the puppet Government is targeting our activists to suppress our movement by arresting party activists and booked them in false cases"
 
“They are using these tactics to implicate our activists in militancy related cases,” he said.
 
Geelani said that its activists believe in the political struggle and are adhering to its constitution which calls for peaceful struggle for the resolution of Kashmir issue.
 
Meanwhile, Geelani said Ghulam Qadir Bhat of Gushi Kupwara, a Pro-freedom and veteran leader, who is under detention from last seventeen and half years is being harassed in the jail while his health is deteriorating, he was not been provided medical treatment.
 
“There is no change in the approach of the jail authorities,” Geelani said.
 
He appealed to the International Committee of Red Cross to use their influence for the release of Ghulam Qadir Bhat.
